We source materials responsibly, prioritizing initiatives like the Better Cotton Initiative and using Certified Non-Toxic Dyes with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. This ensures minimal environmental impact and guarantees that our garments are safe for the makers, wearers, and the wider ecosystem.

Our Roots
Origin Apparel is 100% woman-owned and run by Kristyn Leary, who lives on a ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado - a place where water is hauled by hand, and nothing nature offers is taken for granted. Surrounded by wild land and lived wisdom, Kristyn became obsessed with using what’s already around us: naturally shed feathers, repurposed metals, ink made with carbon-negative, algae-derived pigment. Materials with stories. Materials with soul.
Her love for the print industry came organically - first printing for other businesses, and now extending that craft into Origin’s own garments and offerings. Today, Origin Apparel continues to print for others while growing its own regenerative line, grounded in the belief that there’s far more into fashion than speed or trend.
There’s something ancestral about it - living with what the land provides, making use of every part, honoring what’s left behind. We believe in labels you can trust. In garments that tell the truth. In collaboration and community as tools for real change.
